Smokers Be Kind to Yourself
Joseph Tapia
Smokers all around the world... be kind to yourself. I would like to take my hat off to you and sincerely congratulate you for deciding to stop smoking. I also hope this will be a great addition with your quit smoking support. Whether subconsciously or consciously somewhere along the way you realized that smoking is a bad habit and one that you want and need to kick. Anytime someone readily takes this step to quit smoking takes a special kind of bravery. I know. Maybe you had some assistance in coming to this conclusion. Perhaps a 'nagging' relative or friend. Or maybe it was something you read about the death rate among smokers and the diseases it will lead to in time. I admire people like yourself that really want to break free from a habit that needs to be changed. It may have started out to be recreational and somewhere along the way you noticed your weakness in this area and now need quit smoking support. It's no easy task for anyone to accept one's own weakness. That's why I speak of being kind to yourself. Some will also show kindness to you but it needs to start with you from within. Although it may be hard to believe now, but this advice will do wonders in helping you to success in your efforts to quit smoking. Now if you haven't done so, I implore you to look at real statistics concerning smoking. Do a search for the World Health Organization on Google and search for smoking data and facts. You'll be amazed at what you'll find. Yes, we indeed live in a well educated society. One fact that startled me and I still find it hard to believe is this: Most smokers begin early in life before they are 25 years of age. Think about that. You can see there are good reasons and justification for those anti-cigarette advertisements that are warning our young people to avoid smoking. And remember: Smoking doesn't make you a bad person in itself; however, bad things often happen to those who do. And as much as I tried to avoid the old cliche, "You're not along." You really aren't. Current estimates are that over 1 Billion people in the world smoke. Those are staggering statistics. Although many reside in low income countries, it still is a worldwide problem. Be watching for several furture articles on this topic. If one really wants to quit smoking, then there are many things one can do that will help you to succeed where others may have failed. Just remember, there are millions of people who have successfully kicked the habit and I hope you are listed among those happy people.
There is real hope for those wanting quit smoking support regardless of their age or sex. Quit Smoking and Never Start Again has extended their help to thousands who have successfully kicked this habit worldwide. http://www.Quit-Smoking-and-Never-Start-Again.com
